Role of the PfS
Academy
Helping children succeed in life
and in school is the focus of the Center for Learning Excellence (CLEX),
an Initiative of the John Glenn Institute for Public Service and
Public Policy at The Ohio State University. The Partnerships for
Success Academy (PfSA) was created as part of CLEX to support the
implementation of the PfS Model.
The PfS Academy helps county Family
and Children First Councils build capacity at the local level to
identify and prioritize critical community issues and manage the
investment of resources to address those issues.
Communities
engaged in the PfS Model will receive support from the PfS Academy as
they work with families and public, private, and non-profit partners
to make a significant and lasting positive impact on children, youth,
and families in their communities.
To support their efforts, the
Partnerships for Success Academy at The Ohio State University will
provide participating counties with the following:
-
Comprehensive training to those involved with PfS planning, implementation,
and evaluation.
- The
tools (manuals, forms, and materials) necessary to complete the PfS
Model.
- Customized and personalized technical assistance through
individualized coaching to those communities following the PfS
Model.
